The earth

The desert sand gave its ochre colour to Marrakech and the fortified villages scattered throughout the region, the majestic kasbahs of the Moroccan south. A habitat specific to the oasis, kasbahs are built of sun-dried adobe.Their simple, refined lines highlight the moulded decorations on the upper part of their buildings inspired the architecture of the Samanah Country Club villas. Although these houses are no longer built of adobe, they have preserved the colours and spirit of the traditional Moroccan model : the coolness of the interiors and the privacy of their occupants prevail.
